Description

The Tirsa is a 60cm circular pendant light built around a bronze-finished steel and brushed aluminium ring, with three glass spheres suspended inside the frame on fine cables. Each sphere has a clear outer shell and an opal inner diffuser, housing the integrated LED light source. The circular frame hangs from three cables attached to a bronze ceiling rose, with the drop adjustable between 50cm and 120cm on installation.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and living room seating areas where a central pendant provides both ambient and decorative light, the Tirsa works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher. The 60cm diameter suits tables and islands between 1.4m and 2m in length. The integrated 40W LED runs at 3000K warm white and is TRIAC dimmable, allowing output to be adjusted from full brightness for task use to low-level ambient light in the evening.

The bronze finish on the metal frame is an anodic treatment that gives a warm, mid-tone metallic appearance sitting between copper and gunmetal. The opal silicone diffusers inside each glass sphere soften the LED light to reduce glare and distribute output evenly across the fixture. The three spheres are positioned asymmetrically within the circular frame rather than evenly spaced, giving the pendant a sculptural off-centre balance when viewed from below.

The fixture weighs 2kg and carries an IP20 rating, making it suitable for dry indoor locations only. The LED is non-replaceable and integrated into the fitting, with a rated lifespan typical of Schuller's LED range.
