Description

We stock the TAVO in black as a small accent lamp built around a natural travertine stone base and a tilting metal shade. The shade is matt black on the outside and white on the inside, so light bounces back through the front opening, and it takes a single G9 bulb up to 9W (sold separately). Every travertine base carries the natural pitting and colour variation of the stone, so no two pieces look quite the same.

It suits a bedside table, a desk, a console or a side table where you want a pool of light rather than an overhead glare. The shade pivots on the stone base, so you can aim the light down onto a book, across a work surface, or up towards a wall for a softer, reflected glow. Rated IP20 for indoor use, it works well as either task or ambient lighting depending on how you angle it.

The lamp runs on 220-240V mains and is not dimmable, so it gives a steady output whenever it is switched on. An inline switch on the cable lets you turn it on and off at the lamp itself without reaching for the wall. The travertine base gives the lamp its weight and stability, while the matt black shade keeps reflections down and pairs easily with contemporary, industrial and minimalist rooms.

Frequently Asked

What bulb does it take?

It takes a single G9 bulb of up to 9W, which sits inside the shade cavity. The bulb is not included, so you can choose your own colour temperature to suit the room.

Is it dimmable?

No. The TAVO is not dimmable and gives a steady output, so you would set the brightness by choosing the wattage of the G9 bulb you fit.

Can I angle the light?

Yes. The shade pivots on the travertine base, so you can aim the light down onto a book, across a desk, or up towards a wall for a softer reflected glow.

Is it suitable for a bathroom?

No. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only.
