Description

This pendant light is a globe of ribbed grey glass, 23cm across and 29cm tall, hung from a domed cap on a black cable. Fine vertical ribs run the full height of the shade, so the glass catches the light along every line. Tinted glass takes the edge off a bare bulb, so the light reads gentle rather than harsh. Glass makes up 85% of the pendant, with PVC and iron accounting for the rest, and it weighs 1.4KG in all. At 23cm across it is a mid-sized shade, big enough to hang alone and small enough to hang in a row.

We would hang it over a dining table or a kitchen island, or on its own in a hallway, living room or bedroom where one pendant is enough to set the mood. The cable is 250cm long, which gives you length to work with under a high ceiling or when you want the shade low over a table. It is rated IP20, so it belongs in dry rooms only. The grey is easy to place: it sits well with pale walls, natural wood, linen and plants, and it suits a warm scheme as readily as a cool one. The styling props shown are not included.
