Description

The Suspiro is an 18cm diameter glass pendant light with a hand-blown amber-gradient shade and a golden anodised aluminium canopy. An integrated 15W LED sits behind an internal opal diffuser, casting 900 lumens of warm 3000K light through the amber glass. The shade transitions from clear glass at the top to deeper amber tones at the base, creating a soft golden glow when lit.

Designed for bedside positions, reading nooks, kitchen peninsulas and over breakfast bars, the Suspiro works as a single pendant or in groups of two or three over longer surfaces. The drop adjusts between 40cm and 160cm on installation, allowing the pendant to sit 600-800mm above a worktop or 700-900mm above a bedside table depending on ceiling height. The compact 18cm diameter suits smaller rooms and tighter spaces where a larger pendant would overwhelm.

The hand-blown amber glass gives each pendant slight variations in colour depth and gradient transition — this is inherent to the manufacturing process. The golden anodised aluminium canopy provides a warm metallic accent that pairs with brass hardware, timber finishes and warm-toned interiors. At 1.6kg the pendant has enough weight to hang stably on the suspension cable without needing additional counter-balancing on a standard UK ceiling rose.

Is the Suspiro dimmable?

The integrated LED is fixed at 15W on 180-240V mains. Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific dimmer model — please contact us before pairing with a dimmer to confirm.

What ceiling height is needed?

The drop adjusts between 40cm and 160cm on installation. For a bedside or worktop position the pendant typically sits 600-800mm above the surface, which works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. Lower ceilings can still accommodate the Suspiro if the cable is shortened during fitting.

Does the amber glass vary between pieces?

Yes. Each shade is hand-blown, so the depth of the amber gradient and the transition from clear to amber glass differ slightly between individual pendants. This is a feature of the hand-blown manufacturing process, not a defect.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

The IP20 rating means the pendant is suitable for dry indoor locations only. It is not rated for use in bathrooms or other wet or humid environments.
