Description

The Surface/Recess Mounting mmWave Occupancy Sensor in black is a versatile 2-in-1 motion detection unit designed for high precision and adaptability. Using advanced millimetre-wave (mmWave) radar technology, it offers enhanced resolution and accuracy by operating at a shorter wavelength than traditional microwave sensors. This allows the sensor to detect not only major movements like walking but also subtle activity such as typing or breathing. Rated IP20, it is intended for indoor environments and can be installed as either a recessed or surface-mounted unit.

The sensor includes pre-fitted ceiling springs for easy recess installation and a surface box for alternative mounting. It provides a full 360° field of detection when ceiling-mounted and 180° coverage when mounted on a wall. Adjustable settings include detection range (25–100% or 1–25m²), time delay (10 seconds, 1, 5, or 15 minutes), and ambient light sensitivity (below 10Lux, 30Lux, 100Lux, or daytime). It operates at an installation height of 2.2–4m and can be wired in parallel for multiple units. Rated load supports up to 2000W incandescent or 1000W LED. Built from robust polycarbonate with a refined black finish, it performs reliably within -20°C to +40°C and up to 93% humidity, ensuring long-lasting efficiency and intelligent automation.
