Description

The Sukha is a bath bridge, 75cm long and 19cm wide and 5cm from the underside to the top of the rails. Two square-section mango rails run the full length, one down each side, raised above the deck and carried on past both ends. Between them the deck is laid as a parquet of short mango blocks in different tones, solid across the middle and opening into cross slats with gaps toward the ends.

The rails take the weight. They sit on the rim of the bath at each side and the deck hangs between them, below the rim and inside the bath, so what is on it is within reach of someone lying down. Because the rails run past the ends, the bridge slides up and down the bath rather than sitting in one place.

The bridge is mango wood throughout. The parquet is made up of short blocks cut from different boards, so the run of tone across the deck differs from one bridge to the next. The wood has been treated to stand bathroom conditions. The Sukha range also holds a caddy and a storage caddy.
