Description
The Steel is a slim linear bar that hangs as one straight line above a table or worktop. Its body is an extruded aluminium profile in black, 1200mm long and only 9mm deep, which is the thinnest section in the range, with the LED set behind the underside. This is a mono-emission fitting, so all the light goes downward with no upward spill. The wide optic runs a 90 by 55 degree spread, so light falls as a soft continuous sheet rather than a contained band. Off, it reads as a fine painted line suspended on slim cables.
That broader spread throws light across more of the surface below, so a table or worktop is lit evenly end to end rather than in a tight strip. The thin 9mm profile keeps the fitting almost invisible when lit, so the eye reads the sheet of light rather than the bar. It hangs on cables adjustable to around 2125mm, and at 1200mm it suits a dining table for four to six, a kitchen island or a desk, singly or lined up over a longer counter.
The frame is powder-coated aluminium in black and the light is a built-in LED drawing 24W for 2700 lumens at 3000K warm white, with a colour rendering index above 90 and a 50,000 hour life, so tones stay true and no bulb is ever bought or replaced. Rated IP20 for dry indoor rooms, it arrives ready to wire in.

Frequently Asked
What kind of light does the Steel give?
A warm 3000K light aimed entirely downward. The wide optic runs a 90 by 55 degree spread, so it casts a soft continuous sheet across the surface below rather than a tight strip. There is no upward spill on this version, and a colour rendering index above 90 keeps colours true.
Does it need bulbs?
No. A built-in LED drawing 24W for 2700 lumens runs the length of the bar and is included, so there is nothing separate to fit. The module is rated for around a 50,000 hour life of normal use.
Can it be dimmed?
The driver is not listed as dimmable, so it holds a fixed warm 3000K output unless a compatible switch is confirmed. We are happy to advise before you order.
How big is it and where does it suit?
The bar is 1200mm long and only 9mm deep, on a drop adjustable to about 2125mm. The wide beam and fine profile suit a dining table, a kitchen island or a desk where an even downward wash is wanted, singly or in a line over a longer surface.
