Description
The Steel is a slim linear bar that hangs as one straight line above a table or worktop. Its body is an extruded aluminium profile in white, 1200mm long and only 9mm deep, which is the thinnest section in the range, with the LED set behind the underside. This is a mono-emission fitting, so all the light goes downward with no upward spill. The accent optic runs a 90 by 40 degree spread, narrower across the bar than along it, so the light falls as a contained band on the surface below. Off, it reads as a fine painted line suspended on slim cables.
That thin 9mm profile keeps the fitting almost invisible when lit, so the eye reads the band of light rather than the bar itself, and in white it sits quietly against a pale ceiling. It hangs on cables adjustable to around 2125mm, dropping low over a surface or sitting higher in a taller room. At 1200mm it suits a dining table for four to six, a kitchen island or a desk, and several can be lined up above a longer counter.
The frame is powder-coated aluminium in white and the light is a built-in LED drawing 24W for 2700 lumens at 3000K warm white, with a colour rendering index above 90 and a 50,000 hour life, so tones stay true and no bulb is ever bought or replaced. Rated IP20 for dry indoor rooms, it arrives ready to wire in.

Frequently Asked
What kind of light does the Steel give?
A warm 3000K band aimed entirely downward. The accent optic runs a 90 by 40 degree spread, so the light falls in a contained strip on the surface below rather than washing wide. There is no upward spill on this version, and a colour rendering index above 90 keeps colours true.
Does it need bulbs?
No. A built-in LED drawing 24W for 2700 lumens runs the length of the bar and is included, so there is nothing separate to fit. The module is rated for around a 50,000 hour life of normal use.
Can it be dimmed?
The driver is not listed as dimmable, so it holds a fixed warm 3000K output unless a compatible switch is confirmed. We are happy to advise before you order.
How big is it and where does it suit?
The bar is 1200mm long and only 9mm deep, on a drop adjustable to about 2125mm. That fine profile suits a dining table, a kitchen island or a desk where the fitting should stay discreet and the light does the work, singly or in a line over a longer surface.
