Description

A two drawer bedside table in mango wood, 60cm high, 60cm wide and 40cm deep. The top overhangs the case on all four sides, the side panels are set into a frame, and the two drawers run the full width of the front with a shallow rectangular pull cut into each face. It stands on four turned legs, each carrying a ring near the top.

At 60cm square across the face and 40cm deep this is closer to a small chest than to a narrow nightstand, so it wants a clear stretch of wall beside the bed rather than the gap between a bed and a wardrobe. The two drawers are the same size as one another and take the full 40cm depth of the case. It stands against a wall alongside the bed and takes a lamp on top.

The wood is mango throughout, sandblasted so that the grain stands proud of the surface and the texture shows through the finish. Each piece is hand carved and assembled by the makers, and the legs are turned. The Sri range also runs to a chest of drawers, a wardrobe and a bed in King and Super King.
