Description

We stock the Spirito in black as a smoke glass pendant for over a kitchen island, dining table or bar. A smoke-tinted glass shade that graduates from clear at the rim to darker towards the top sits over an inner black metal reflector, and the integrated 12W LED gives 1600 lumens of warm white (3000K) light through a wide 120 degree spread, softening the glow while still keeping it focused below.

We think this suits rooms with a ceiling height of 2.4m or above, with the shade sitting roughly 700 to 900mm over the worktop or table. At 1600 lumens the output is comparable to a 100W incandescent bulb, so in most domestic kitchens it gives enough light for food preparation or dining on its own. The IP20 rating keeps it to dry indoor spaces, away from bathrooms and any outdoor exposure. This is the 3395mm drop, the longer of the two Spirito lengths we carry, so it suits taller ceilings and stairwells where the shorter 2200mm version would hang too high.

The black canopy and cable match the inner reflector, so you get a clean line from ceiling to shade. The cable can be adjusted during installation to suit different room proportions. The LED is integrated rather than a replaceable bulb, it runs on 50Hz AC 220 to 240V, and it is not dimmable. It carries a CRI of 80 and an energy class of D.

Is this pendant dimmable?

No. The integrated LED runs at a fixed 12W and 1600 lumens and is not dimmable, so it is best paired with a switch rather than a dimmer circuit.

How is the 3395mm length different from the 2200mm Spirito?

The 3395mm is the longer drop of the two black Spirito pendants we stock. It suits taller ceilings and stairwells, while the 2200mm version is better for standard room heights.

Where can I use it?

It is rated IP20 for dry indoor spaces, so it works well over an island, dining table or bar. Keep it away from bathrooms and outdoor areas, where a higher IP rating is needed.

Does it need a separate bulb?

No. The 12W LED giving 1600 lumens of warm white 3000K light is built in, so there is no separate bulb to buy or fit. The LED is not user-replaceable.
