Description
The Schuller Sphere is a 14-light cluster pendant built around fourteen polycarbonate globes, each wrapped with chrome, satin copper and satin brass metal bands, suspended on adjustable cables from a 60cm circular canopy. Integrated 78W 3000K LEDs sit inside each globe, delivering a combined 5,502 lumens of warm white light through textured polycarbonate that scatters reflections across the mixed metal surfaces.
Designed for double-height spaces including entrance halls, dining rooms with ceiling heights above 3m, and hotel lobbies, the cluster drops 220cm from the canopy at its standard hang length, with the cables adjustable between 130cm minimum and 500cm maximum to suit the room proportions. The fixture is dimmable via a TRIAC or 0-10V driver and ships with an RF remote for wireless brightness control without needing to install a wall dimmer. Gravity toggles secure the canopy flat to the ceiling, ensuring each drop line hangs plumb.
The mixed metal finish combines chrome's cool reflective tone with the warmer satin brass and satin copper bands, giving the cluster visual depth under both daylight and evening light. At 12kg total weight the fitting requires secure fixing into a ceiling joist or structural support. The polycarbonate globes are lighter and more impact-resistant than glass equivalents, making installation and maintenance more straightforward in high-ceiling applications. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor locations only.
Each globe varies in size across the cluster, creating the cascading waterfall effect visible in the product image. The combined 78.6W draw is equivalent to approximately 550W of halogen output, making this a high-output pendant suitable for primary lighting in large open-plan spaces rather than accent or supplementary use.

Frequently Asked
Does the Sphere come with bulbs or do I need to buy them separately?
The LEDs are integrated into each globe and cannot be replaced. The fixture arrives ready to install with the 78.6W 3000K LEDs already fitted inside the polycarbonate spheres.
What ceiling height is needed for the Sphere 14-light cluster?
The standard 220cm drop suits ceiling heights of 3m or above, allowing clearance below the lowest globe. The cables are adjustable between 130cm minimum and 500cm maximum, so the cluster can be shortened for lower ceilings or extended for grand double-height spaces.
How is the dimming controlled?
The Sphere includes a TRIAC/0-10V dimmable driver and ships with an RF remote for wireless brightness control. This means you can dim the fixture without installing a wall dimmer switch, though it is also compatible with compatible TRIAC or 0-10V wall dimmers if preferred.
Can the cables be adjusted after installation?
Yes. Each globe hangs on an adjustable cable that can be lengthened or shortened during installation to create the desired cascade effect. The adjustment mechanism is accessible from below the canopy, so fine-tuning the drop lengths does not require dismantling the ceiling rose.
