The Sparrowmere double hoop pendant in the large size teams a 600mm teal fabric shade with two gold leaf hoops, on a drop that adjusts between 600mm and 1980mm. Three 10W E27 LED lamps sit inside, and the fitting is dimmable. It weighs 3.7kg and is rated IP20 for dry indoor rooms. At 600mm across it brings colour overhead without taking over a normal sized room, and the hoops standing clear of the shade give it an outline that reads from the side as well as from directly below.

This is the size we would choose for a round dining table, a kitchen island, a hallway with a decent ceiling, or a bedroom that could use one strong colour above the bed. Teal works best against plain walls, so let the pendant be the coloured element in the room rather than competing with patterned paper.
