Description

The Sophia is a 13x18cm photo frame with a densely beaded resin border covering all four sides in a repeating, uniform bead pattern. Each bead measures approximately 4-5mm in diameter, hand-applied to the polyresin frame to create a textured surface that catches directional light differently at different angles. The frame is finished in a graduated brown that runs from mid-brown at the edges to lighter tan at the inner aperture, with a matte surface texture across all beads.

Designed for 5×7" prints (13x18cm), the frame accepts standard photo paper and light card stock behind the glass. A hinged stand on the reverse allows the frame to sit in portrait or landscape orientation on a mantelpiece, side table, bedside cabinet or shelf. The frame can also be hung on a wall via two D-ring mountings integrated into the reverse stand. The 24.5cm width and 2cm projection means it occupies minimal footprint when freestanding.

The beaded polyresin construction gives the frame a 630g weight that keeps it stable on flat surfaces without needing additional weighting. Polyresin is more durable and less fragile than ceramic or plaster, so the frame can be handled and moved without risk of chipping the beaded surface. The brown colourway pairs with warm wood furniture, natural fibres and both contemporary neutral interiors and more traditional schemes. The frame takes 5×7" prints, which is equivalent to 13x18cm. Standard photo paper and light card stock both fit behind the glass.

Can it be used in portrait and landscape orientation?

Yes. The hinged stand on the reverse allows the frame to sit in either orientation. The stand folds flat when the frame is wall-hung.

Is it suitable for wall mounting?
