Description

The Solstice is a 212mm adjustable outdoor wall light with an integrated 20.5W LED housed behind an opal polycarbonate diffuser. The rectangular white powder-coated aluminium body projects 100mm from the wall and the diffuser rotates on a central hinge, allowing the light output to be directed upwards, downwards, or straight ahead depending on the mounting position and desired effect.

Designed for exterior walls on residential properties, the Solstice suits porch entrances, patio areas, garage sides and garden pathways where directed warm-white light is needed. The IP54 rating protects against dust ingress and water spray from any direction, making it suitable for exposed walls under eaves or covered canopies. The 3000K colour temperature provides warm ambient light rather than cool security-style illumination.

The powder-coated aluminium construction resists corrosion in outdoor conditions and the white finish reflects rather than absorbs solar heat during summer months. The opal polycarbonate diffuser is impact-resistant and distributes the LED output evenly across the lit area, avoiding hotspots or harsh shadows. The non-dimmable 20.5W LED is integrated into the fitting and rated for a 5-year warranty period from Ideal Lux.

Can this be used in fully exposed outdoor positions?

The IP54 rating protects against dust and water spray from any direction, so the Solstice can be mounted on exposed exterior walls. It is not rated for full water immersion (IP65 or higher), so avoid positions where the fitting would sit in standing water or face direct high-pressure jet washing.

How is the light direction adjusted?

The opal polycarbonate diffuser rotates on a central hinge, allowing you to direct the light upwards to wash a wall, downwards to illuminate a path or step, or straight ahead for general area lighting. The adjustment is made during or after installation by hand.

Is the LED replaceable?

The 20.5W LED is integrated into the fitting and is not user-replaceable. Integrated LEDs typically have a rated lifespan of 25,000-50,000 hours depending on the manufacturer's specification. The fitting carries a 5-year warranty from Ideal Lux.

What colour temperature does the light produce?

The LED is rated at 3000K, which produces a warm white light similar to traditional halogen outdoor lighting. This is warmer than cool white security lights (4000K-6000K) and suits residential garden and patio use.
