Description

The Solstice is a 212mm outdoor LED wall light with an adjustable rectangular diffuser set in a matt black powder-coated aluminium frame. The integrated 20.5W LED delivers 3000K warm white light through a glossy opal polycarbonate screen, and the diffuser can be rotated on installation to direct light upwards, downwards or at an angle depending on the mounting position.

Designed for exterior walls on patios, decks, porches and pathways, the Solstice sits close to the wall with a 100mm projection from the mounting surface. The IP54 rating protects against dust ingress and water splashes from any direction, making it suitable for covered outdoor areas, doorways and wall-mounted positions sheltered by overhangs. The non-dimmable LED is fixed at 3000K, providing warm ambient light rather than bright task illumination.

The matt black aluminium housing resists corrosion in outdoor conditions and the powder-coated finish maintains its appearance without requiring regular repainting. The opal polycarbonate diffuser softens the LED output and prevents visible hotspots, giving an even wash of light across the diffuser face. Ideal Lux backs the Solstice with a 5-year warranty covering the integrated LED and housing.

Can this be used in fully exposed outdoor positions?

The IP54 rating protects against dust and water splashes but does not guarantee protection against sustained heavy rain or direct water jets. The Solstice works best in covered outdoor positions such as under porch overhangs, sheltered patios or recessed doorways rather than fully exposed wall sections.

How is the diffuser adjusted?

The rectangular diffuser rotates on a pivot joint, allowing it to be angled during installation to direct light upwards as wall wash, downwards onto a path, or horizontally along the wall. Once positioned, the diffuser holds its angle without ongoing adjustment.

Is the LED replaceable?

The LED is integrated into the fitting and is not user-replaceable. Ideal Lux provides a 5-year warranty on the LED and housing, covering the expected lifespan of the light source.

What width wall clearance is needed?

The fitting projects 100mm from the wall and measures 212mm in length. Allow at least 250mm of clear wall width for comfortable installation and to avoid the diffuser overlapping adjacent features when rotated.
