Description

The smaller of the two glass stars, 20cm point to point and 5.5cm deep. Triangular glass panels are set into a brass frame and soldered along every edge, and a coiled brass wire rises from one point to hang it. A tealight sits inside the body of the star.

Twenty centimetres hangs where thirty will not: in a window, among branches, or in a run down a bannister where the larger star would crowd. The two sizes hang well together, the small one below and a little behind. Lit, the frame throws its own lines onto whatever is behind it.

The panels are glass and the frame is brass. Every join carries the marks left by soldering with hand tools, which is how the frame is held together rather than a fault in it. The large star runs at 30cm across. The tealight is not included.
