Description

The SIS Spot is a compact track spotlight from our SIS System range: a slim cylinder 4.5cm across and 12.7cm tall, with a black, white, brass or grey head over a frosted white diffuser that glows when it is lit. Its light source is an integrated LED, so there is never a bulb to buy or change. It draws 6.3W and gives 627 lumens of warm white light at 2700K, with a CRI of 90, so food, wood and fabrics keep their true colours beneath it. It is a small, quiet shape that lets the light, rather than the fitting, take the eye.

It fits the SIS System track, which is sold separately: the track holds the spotlight in place and brings it mains power, and the spotlight cannot run without it. Fit a length of track over a kitchen island or along a dining table and the SIS Spot gives a warm glow where people cook, eat and talk, while its slim form keeps the look uncluttered. It works just as well in a café or restaurant dining area as at home. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only; in a kitchen, place it well away from the hob, the sink and anywhere steam or splashes reach.

The SIS Spot was designed by María Güell & Carrasquet. It is a Class II fitting, and choosing between black, white, brass and grey comes down to your walls, your furniture and the other metalwork in the room. It is not dimmable, so it suits places where you want the light simply on or off at full strength rather than turned down low for the evening. Before you order, check that the SIS System track is on your list too, because the spotlight relies on it to hold it in place and to power it. The track in our photographs is not included.
