Description

A serving fork and a serving spoon, each 30cm long. The heads are stainless steel, polished bright: three broad tines on the fork and a deep oval bowl on the spoon. The handles are hand forged and taper from the head down to a rounded end, finished in a brushed gold that is dimpled and flecked from the forging rather than run smooth. The two come boxed together.

At 30cm they are long enough to reach the bottom of a deep salad bowl with a hand clear of the leaves. The tines of the fork are broad and shallow rather than pointed, so they lift a serving rather than spearing it, and the bowl of the spoon is deep enough to carry dressing with the leaves. They go in the dishwasher.

Both pieces are stainless steel. The handles are forged by hand, which is what leaves the surface textured and uneven, and the brushed gold is on the handles only: the fork and spoon heads are left as bare steel. No two handles come out carrying the same marks. The pair weighs 0.265kg and arrives in a gift box.
