Description
This Knightsbridge single spotlight accepts a GU10 lamp (sold separately) behind a matt black pressed steel head that rotates 350° and tilts 180°, allowing light to be directed across walls, onto artwork, or down onto work surfaces. The head mounts on a circular backplate with chrome detailing, and the fixture can be installed on ceilings or walls depending on the lighting requirement.
Designed for kitchens, hallways, home offices and retail environments where directed accent lighting is needed without installing a full track system, the spotlight pairs with standard GU10 LED, halogen or CFL lamps up to 50W. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor locations — it is not suitable for bathrooms, shower rooms or outdoor installation. The matt black finish minimises reflections and integrates with industrial, contemporary and minimalist interiors.
The 60mm diameter head projects 132mm from the wall or ceiling when fitted, with the lamp positioned approximately 100mm forward of the mounting surface when the head is angled. The pressed steel construction handles the heat output from halogen lamps, though most users now pair this with 4-7W LED GU10s for lower running costs and reduced heat. Dimming capability depends entirely on the lamp used — a dimmable GU10 LED will dim on a compatible dimmer circuit, while a non-dimmable lamp will not.

Frequently Asked
What lamp does it take?
The spotlight takes a standard GU10 lamp up to 50W maximum. Lamps are sold separately. Most users pair this with a 4-7W LED GU10 in warm white (2700K-3000K) for accent or task lighting.
Can it be used in bathrooms?
No. The IP20 rating means the spotlight is suitable only for dry indoor locations. It cannot be installed in bathrooms, shower rooms, or any location where it may be exposed to moisture or splashing water.
Is it dimmable?
Dimming depends entirely on the lamp used. If you fit a dimmable GU10 LED and connect the spotlight to a compatible dimmer circuit, it will dim. Non-dimmable lamps will not dim and may flicker or fail if connected to a dimmer.
Can it be ceiling-mounted or wall-mounted?
Both. The circular backplate can be fixed to a ceiling or wall surface. The 350° rotation and 180° tilt allow the head to be directed regardless of mounting orientation.
