Description

This single 5ft T8 batten is a housing that holds one G13 bi-pin LED tube. The tube is not included, so a suitable T8 LED tube is chosen separately to match the run. The fitting itself takes one tube up to 58W, which is a ceiling rating for what it will hold rather than its own draw, and the chosen tube supplies the actual light.

It suits utility and working spaces such as garages, workshops, store rooms, sheds and under-stairs cupboards where a plain, robust linear fitting is wanted. The body measures 1535 mm long and mounts directly to a ceiling or wall, sitting flush along the surface. With its single-tube format it gives a tidy strip of light across a bench, bay or walkway once the tube is fitted.

The fitting is built from metal and plastic in a white finish, rated IP20 for dry indoor use, so it should be kept clear of damp, exposed or outdoor positions. Wiring is single-end (unilateral), meaning the supply connects at one end of the tube. The G13 tube clips into the bi-pin holders, and dimming depends entirely on the tube chosen rather than the housing.
