Description

The Silver Ring is a large wall and ceiling light: a slim black ring 183cm across and just 8cm high, with a white inner diffuser where the light comes from. Its integrated LED draws 110W and gives 7850 lumens of warm 3000K light, so there is no bulb to buy or replace. With a colour rendering index of 90, wood, fabric and skin look true to life beneath it. The black finish draws a crisp, graphic line against a pale ceiling, and the light dims by DALI or push control, so it can join a DALI lighting system or be dimmed with a push button.

At 183cm across, this is a light for big rooms: a generous living room, a long dining room, an open-plan space or a hall with a high ceiling, where one ring gives the room a clear centre. It suits a meeting room or a reception area just as well. On a wall it becomes a large black circle of light, striking above a long sofa or on the tall wall of a stairwell. With dimming, it can be bright for a dinner party and low for a quiet evening. It is rated IP40, so it is for dry rooms only.

Because the LED is built into the ring, it is a single fitting with no separate lamp to choose. It runs on 230V and is wired in to the mains by an electrician, so have a qualified electrician fit it to the ceiling or the wall you choose. If you plan to dim it, settle on DALI or push control before the work starts, so the right controls are in place from the first day.
