Silas is a table lamp in the shape of a giraffe, standing on a flat plinth with its long neck passing up through a linen drum shade and its head rising just clear of the top. The body is polyresin finished in gold, and the patches of the giraffe's coat are moulded into the surface, so light catches the raised edges all over it. At 70cm tall, 35cm long and 28cm wide, it is a generous lamp that gives a room a talking point before it is even switched on.
