Sigiri Ribbed Champagne Glasses - Clear - Set of 4

The Sigiri is a champagne flute 20cm tall, and four come in a set. The bowl is a long narrow cylinder that draws in towards the base, ribbed from the rim all the way down, and it sits straight onto a small round foot with no stem between the two. The rim is left slightly uneven, and the recycled glass carries a faint green cast that deepens where the wall of the bowl runs thickest.

Twenty centimetres is tall for a flute and the bowl holds 250ml, so a 125ml pour comes a little over a third of the way up. The foot is 6.5cm across, the same as the widest point of the bowl, which keeps the glasses steady on a laid table rather than on a tray. The four stand together high enough to clear a low centrepiece.

The glass is recycled, gathered and melted down before it is blown, so the tint and the run of the ribbing vary a little from glass to glass. The ribs stop where the foot begins, leaving the base plain. The Sigiri range also holds a small wine glass and a tall wine glass, both in sets of four.

Is recycled glass dishwasher safe?

Yes, these are. Washing them after every use stops staining. Use a mild detergent and do not leave them to soak.

How many glasses come in a set?

Four.

How much does each glass hold?

250ml. A standard 125ml pour comes a little over a third of the way up the bowl.

Are they food safe?

Yes.

Will the four be identical?

Not quite. The rims differ slightly from glass to glass and the green in the recycled glass varies in depth.
