Description

We stock the Shadows of the Past ring pendant in brass as a sculptural light for over a table or island. Curved metal rods are arranged in a flowing cage, and an integrated 20W LED module sits inside giving 1400 lumens of warm white (3000K) light. The open metalwork lets the light spread in all directions across a 360 degree beam, so it works as both a soft ambient source and a decorative focal point overhead.

We think it suits dining areas, kitchen islands and stairwells where a pendant can hang unobstructed and be seen from below. The wire-form cage keeps the visual weight lighter than a solid shade, so it can sit above a smaller table without overpowering the room. The brass canopy at the top hides the ceiling connection and the cable run, and the finish pairs well with warm-toned interiors, timber furniture and exposed brick while the modern form stops it reading as traditional.

The light is rated at 80 CRI for natural colour rendering and carries an IP20 rating, so it is intended for dry indoor rooms rather than bathrooms. It runs on 220 to 240V mains, is not dimmable, and the LED is integrated rather than a replaceable bulb. It is built from metal with a brass finish and carries a G energy class.

Frequently Asked

Is this pendant dimmable?

No. The integrated LED runs at a fixed output, so it is not designed to work with a dimmer switch. It gives a steady 1400 lumens of warm 3000K light whenever it is on.

Does it take a bulb, or is the LED built in?

The 20W LED module is integrated inside the cage rather than a replaceable bulb, so there is nothing separate to buy or fit. It is rated for many years of typical household use.

Which rooms is it suitable for?

We would use it over a dining table, a kitchen island or in a stairwell where it can hang freely and be seen from below. It is rated IP20 for dry indoor spaces, so we would not fit it in a bathroom.

What kind of light does it give?

It gives 1400 lumens of warm white light at 3000K, spread through the open metalwork across a full 360 degree beam. That makes it a soft ambient light and a decorative feature at the same time.
