Description

We stock the Seoul as a spiral alabaster pendant for over a dining table, kitchen island or entrance hall. Four stacked translucent alabaster tiers sit in a helical arrangement below a cylindrical white metal canopy, and an integrated 14W LED inside casts 1700 lumens of warm white light at 3000K through the stone, spreading it across the full height of the fitting in a wide 120 degree beam.

It suits rooms where you want both a soft ambient wash and a decorative fitting rather than a hard downlight. Because the light passes through the tiers, it stays diffuse without harsh downward glare, and the spiral of the tiers throws gentle shadow patterns onto nearby walls when lit. The white canopy and cable run best on ceilings of around 2.4m or taller, and it fits a standard UK ceiling rose.

Each tier is cut from natural alabaster, so the tone and translucency vary a little from piece to piece and every pendant looks slightly different when lit. The 14W LED gives warm white light close to old halogen but on far less power, and it carries a CRI of 80 so most colours read accurately at home or in hospitality settings. It is rated IP20 for dry indoor use and runs on 220-240V. The LED is integrated and this fitting is not dimmable.

Frequently Asked

Does it need bulbs?

No. The 14W LED is built in and gives 1700 lumens of warm white light at 3000K, so there is nothing extra to buy or replace.

Is it dimmable?

No. This pendant is not dimmable, so we would pair it with a standard on-off switch rather than a dimmer.

Where does it work best?

We would hang it over a dining table, kitchen island or in an entrance hall on ceilings of around 2.4m or more. It is rated IP20 for dry indoor use, so keep it away from bathrooms and other damp spots.

Will every pendant look the same?

Not exactly. Each alabaster tier is cut from natural stone, so the tone and translucency vary slightly from piece to piece and every fitting has its own look when lit.
