Description

A single wick scented candle in a hand blown recycled glass vessel, 9cm high and 9cm across. The glass is frosted over the upper part and left mottled below, where a speckled band of rust and gold breaks across the lower third and runs under the base. The wax is a pale cream and fills the vessel to within a couple of centimetres of the rim, with one cotton wick at the centre. The scent is built on sea salt, sandalwood and moss.

It holds 270g of wax and burns for approximately 45 to 50 hours. At 9cm across with one wick it sits on a bedside table, a bathroom shelf or a hall table. The vessel is made to be kept and used again once the wax has burned down.

The wax is a blend of sustainably sourced European soy and natural beeswax with a pure cotton wick, hand poured and packed in the UK. The fragrance is blended for this range alone and carries natural essential oils including cumin, patchouli and birch tar. The vessel is hand blown from recycled glass in India, so the weight of the glass, the height of the mottled band and the depth of the frosting differ from one to the next. The same scent is made as a three wick candle and as a 200ml reed diffuser.

How long does it burn for?

What does it smell of?

Sea salt, sandalwood and moss. The blend carries natural essential oils including cumin, patchouli and birch tar.

How should it be burned?

The first time, let the wax melt right out to the sides of the vessel. Trim the wick to 5mm before each burn, and burn it for at least two hours but no more than four at a time, in a ventilated room and away from draughts. Stand it on a stable, heat protected surface away from children, pets and anything flammable, never move it while it is lit, and never leave it unattended. Stop burning when about 10mm of candle is left.

Can the glass be used again?

Yes. Once the candle is finished, put the vessel in a freezer for six to twelve hours until the wax shrinks away from the glass and can be knocked out gently. Wipe it with a clean, damp cloth to take off the residue. Do not leave it to soak, do not scrub it, and keep abrasive cloths and harsh detergents away from it.
