Description

The Knightsbridge screwless 1-gang grid faceplate is an 88mm square matt black steel cover plate designed to clip onto a separate 1-gang grid frame (GDS001F, sold separately). The faceplate provides a screwless finish for modular grid switch and socket installations, hiding the frame fixings behind the cover plate for a cleaner wall appearance.

Designed for use with Knightsbridge's modular grid system, the faceplate coordinates with the screwless switches and sockets range, allowing grid modules (data, voice, audio, dimmer, switch modules) to be mounted behind a matching finish. The 3.5mm projection from the wall keeps the plate flush with typical plasterboard or plastered surfaces. The matt black finish provides a low-sheen surface that resists fingerprints and pairs with contemporary, industrial and minimalist interiors.

The faceplate is constructed from premium-grade steel rather than plastic, giving a more substantial feel and better long-term durability in high-traffic areas. The matt black coating is applied to the steel substrate and holds its finish under regular handling. The IP20 rating suits standard indoor dry locations; this faceplate is not rated for bathroom zones or outdoor use.

The faceplate clips onto a Knightsbridge GDS001F 1-gang grid frame, which is sold separately. The frame is fixed to a 25mm back box and holds the grid modules, while the faceplate clips over the frame to hide the fixings.

Can this be used with standard UK switches and sockets?
