Description
The Scoop is a 6W LED desk lamp with a flexible gooseneck arm, touch-sensitive dimmer and a glossy white plastic body. The integrated LED delivers 750 lumens at 4000K neutral white, bright enough for reading, desk work and detailed tasks without glare. The lamp runs on 12V DC from a mains adapter (supplied) and the touch switch on the base cycles through three brightness levels.
Designed for desks, bedside tables and small workstations where directed task light is needed, the Scoop's flexible arm adjusts from 25cm to 50cm in height depending on the angle. The gooseneck stem holds position once adjusted, allowing the lamp head to be angled over a keyboard, a book, or a side table without requiring a clamp or multiple adjustment points. The circular base measures approximately 17cm diameter and weighs 1.65kg, providing stability on flat surfaces without tipping.
The white plastic construction keeps the lamp lightweight and simple to reposition. The 4000K colour temperature sits between warm white (2700K-3000K) and cool daylight (5000K+), providing clear visibility for screen work and reading without the harshness of cooler LEDs or the warmth that can reduce contrast. The IP20 rating restricts the lamp to dry indoor use only.
The Class 3 electrical rating means the lamp operates on extra-low voltage (12V DC) from the supplied mains adapter, reducing electrical risk compared to mains-voltage desk lamps. The CRI rating above 85 ensures colour rendering is accurate enough for most tasks, though it falls short of the >90 CRI needed for colour-critical work like photo editing or fabric matching.

Frequently Asked
Is the Scoop dimmable?
Yes. The touch-sensitive switch on the base cycles through three brightness levels, allowing you to reduce the 750lm output for lower-intensity ambient light or full brightness for task work.
What does 4000K colour temperature mean?
4000K is neutral white, sitting between warm white (2700K-3000K) and cool daylight (5000K+). It provides clear, balanced light for reading and screen work without the yellow cast of warm white or the blue tone of cooler LEDs.
Can the arm be adjusted?
Yes. The gooseneck arm is flexible and holds position once adjusted, allowing the lamp head to be angled and the overall height to vary between 25cm and 50cm depending on the curve of the neck.
Is the LED replaceable?
No. The LED is integrated into the lamp head and is not user-replaceable. The LED is rated for approximately 20,000-25,000 hours of use, which equates to around 10 years at 6 hours per day.
