Description
The Schuller Type C is a 200W LED dimmer designed to be fitted inside a light fitting, controlled via a separate radio frequency remote (sold separately). The unit accepts 110-220V mains input and dims LED drivers or G9 LED bulbs directly, allowing brightness adjustment without rewiring existing wall switches or installing new dimmer switches.
Intended for installation inside pendant lights, chandeliers, wall lights and table lamps where traditional wall-mounted dimming is not practical or where multiple fittings need independent control, the Type C sits between the mains supply and the LED driver or bulb. The radio frequency remote operates through walls and furniture, so the dimmer can be controlled from across a room without line-of-sight to the fitting itself.
The black plastic housing measures 60mm wide, 40mm deep and 20mm high, fitting inside most ceiling roses, pendant canopies and lamp bases with at least 70mm of internal clearance. At 60g the dimmer adds negligible weight to a fitting. The 200W rating handles up to 20 x 10W G9 LEDs or a single 200W LED driver, making it suitable for multi-bulb chandeliers and pendants as well as single-source fittings.

Frequently Asked
Does the remote control come with the dimmer?
No. The Type C dimmer is sold without a remote control. The compatible Schuller radio frequency remote is sold separately and can control multiple Type C dimmers if paired during installation.
What types of LED can it dim?
The Type C dims G9 LED bulbs directly and also dims LED drivers (transformers) that supply low-voltage LED strips or other driver-fed LED sources. It does not dim mains-voltage GU10 or E27 bulbs unless they are specifically driver-fed.
Where does the dimmer fit?
The unit is designed to be installed inside the light fitting itself, between the mains cable and the LED driver or bulb holder. It requires at least 70mm of internal clearance within the fitting's canopy, base or housing.
Can one remote control multiple dimmers?
Yes. Multiple Type C dimmers can be paired to a single remote control during installation, allowing one remote to adjust several fittings simultaneously or independently depending on how they are grouped.
