Scarlett 1 Light Glass Pendant - Amber

The Scarlett is a 180mm amber glass pendant with a dark bronze brushed aluminium canopy and an integrated 6W 3000K LED. The amber glass shade has an electroplated inner surface that reflects warm tones when lit, while an opal acrylic diffuser at the base softens the output to 190 lumens of ambient light. The pendant weighs 650g and hangs on a single adjustable cable from a 100mm circular ceiling rose.

Designed for multiple installations over kitchen islands, breakfast bars and peninsulas, or as singles above bedside tables and in alcoves, the Scarlett's 40-160cm adjustable drop allows it to be set 600-700mm above a worktop or 800-900mm above a dining table depending on ceiling height. The compact 180mm diameter means two or three pendants can be spaced comfortably along a 2-2.5m island without crowding. The IP20 rating restricts it to dry interior zones — not suitable for bathrooms or outdoor use.

The amber tone of the electroplated glass casts a warm, honeyed light that pairs well with oak, walnut and mid-toned wood cabinetry, as well as brass, copper and bronze metalwork elsewhere in the room. The dark bronze finish on the canopy and cable housing reads almost black in shadow but shows a subtle brown undertone under direct light. The 3000K colour temperature and CRI >85 render warm interiors accurately without the yellow cast of 2700K or the clinical edge of 4000K.

The LED module is integrated into the fitting, not user-replaceable, but rated for approximately 25,000 hours of operation at typical domestic use patterns (4-6 hours per day). The Class 1 earthed construction requires connection to a standard UK ceiling rose with earth terminal.

Is the LED replaceable?

No. The 6W LED module is integrated into the fitting and not user-serviceable. It is rated for approximately 25,000 hours of operation, which translates to roughly 10-12 years at typical domestic use patterns of 4-6 hours per day.

How many should I use over a kitchen island?

For a standard 2-2.5m kitchen island, two or three Scarlett pendants work well spaced 600-800mm apart. The compact 180mm diameter allows multiples to be installed without visual crowding. Adjust the drop height to sit 600-700mm above the worktop surface.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means the Scarlett is suitable for dry interior zones only. It does not carry the IP44 or IP65 rating required for bathroom zones 1, 2 or 3, or for outdoor use.

What colour is the cable?

The suspension cable is housed within a dark bronze sleeve that matches the canopy finish, maintaining a consistent visual line from ceiling to pendant.
