Description

We stock the Scala as a single ribbed pendant in white for over a table or island. A cylindrical white metal shade with vertical ribbing holds an integrated 12W LED giving 1300 lumens of warm white light at 3000K, spread through a wide 120 degree beam. A matching white canopy sits above the shade and hides the cable run and ceiling rose connection, so the fitting reads as a clean cylinder from below.

We would hang it over a dining table, kitchen island or breakfast bar where you want directed light on the surface with enough spill to light the immediate area. The 120 degree beam covers roughly 1.5 to 2m of worktop or table depending on how low you drop it, so a single pendant often does the job of several. The neutral white finish and ribbed surface suit minimal, Scandinavian and contemporary rooms.

The LED is integrated and non-dimmable, running at 220 to 240V, 50Hz, with an 80 CRI rating that is well suited to home use and an energy class of F. Its IP20 rating means it is for dry indoor spaces only, so please keep it out of bathrooms, utility rooms and covered outdoor areas. The vertical ribs add surface texture and act as shallow reflectors that bounce light sideways before it leaves the shade.

Frequently Asked

Is this pendant dimmable?

No. The Scala uses an integrated 12W LED that is non-dimmable, so it runs at a fixed 1300 lumens of warm 3000K light and does not need a dimmer switch on the circuit.

Do I need to buy a bulb?

No. The LED is built into the fitting, so there is no separate bulb to buy or replace. You receive the pendant with its integrated 12W LED, the white ribbed shade and the matching canopy ready to wire in.

Can I use it in a bathroom?

No. This pendant is rated IP20 for dry indoor use only, so it is not suitable for bathrooms, utility rooms or covered outdoor areas. It is at home over a dining table, kitchen island or breakfast bar.

What colour of light does it give?

It gives a warm white at 3000K, with 1300 lumens across a wide 120 degree beam and an 80 CRI rating, so colours in the room read naturally under it.
