Description

We stock the Scala in white as a two-tier ribbed LED ceiling light for low-ceiling rooms. It has a cylindrical white metal shade with vertical ribbing on the upper and lower sections, and an integrated 12W LED gives 1300 lumens of warm white (3000K) light through a frosted diffuser at the base in a wide 120 degree spread.

We would fit this where a full pendant would sit too low, such as hallways, landings, smaller bedrooms and cloakrooms. It sits close to the ceiling with a shallow drop, so it works well under lower ceilings without feeling heavy overhead, and the downward beam gives even task and ambient light without glare at eye level when you are standing. It is rated IP20, so keep it to dry indoor areas rather than a shower or bath zone.

The white finish sits cleanly against white ceilings and neutral schemes, and the ribbed shade catches the light along its grooves once lit. The LED is integrated and non-dimmable, rated at 80 CRI for good everyday colour, and runs on a standard 220-240V 50Hz supply at Energy Class F. The driver is housed behind a low-profile circular canopy plate.

No. The Scala uses an integrated non-dimmable LED, so it runs at a fixed 1300 lumens of warm white (3000K) light and should be wired to a standard on/off switch rather than a dimmer.

Which rooms suit it best?

We recommend it for lower-ceiling spaces like hallways, landings, smaller bedrooms and cloakrooms, where it sits close to the ceiling with a shallow drop. It is rated IP20 for dry indoor areas only, so it is not for a shower or bath zone.

Do I need to buy a bulb?
