Description

This is a set of four stoneware cups, each with its own saucer, finished in white and painted by hand with a loose floral pattern. Inside the cup the flowers run around the rim, while the outside stays mostly plain white with a light scatter of small speckles. On the saucer the flowers form a garland around the well in the middle, and a painted rim frames both pieces. The edges are softly irregular rather than machine-perfect, which gives the set a relaxed, homely look. Each cup holds 219ml, which makes it a proper tea or coffee cup: roomier than an espresso cup and smaller than a mug. Each cup and saucer measures 15cm across and 7.5cm tall.
