Description

The Saten is a 540mm flush ceiling light built from five concentric rings of faceted K9 crystal mounted on a polished chrome base plate. Each ring descends in diameter from the outer edge to the centre, creating a tiered wave profile that sits 150mm below the ceiling. Five G9 LED bulbs (included) are positioned within the crystal structure, casting light through the faceted glass to create refraction and dispersion across the ceiling and room.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights below 2.4m where a pendant or chandelier would hang too low, the Saten delivers decorative impact without the drop. The flush mount suits living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms and entrance halls in both period and contemporary settings. The 5kg weight requires secure ceiling joist fixing, and the fitting includes gravity toggles for plasterboard installation where direct joist fixing is not possible.

The K9 crystal is machine-cut optical glass with lead content below 10%, giving clarity and refractive performance close to full lead crystal at a lower weight and cost. The polished chrome base reflects light back through the crystals, intensifying the sparkle effect. The 540mm diameter gives presence over a dining table or in a 4m x 4m room without dominating smaller spaces. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor areas only.

Are the bulbs included?

Yes. The Saten includes five G9 LED bulbs rated at 10W each. Replacement bulbs are widely available and can be swapped for different colour temperatures if needed.

Can this be fitted to a plasterboard ceiling?

The 5kg weight requires secure fixing. The fitting includes gravity toggles designed for plasterboard installation where direct joist fixing is not possible. For safety, follow the assembly instructions and ensure toggles are rated for the load.

Is it suitable for low ceilings?

Yes. The flush mount design projects only 150mm below the ceiling, making it suitable for rooms with ceiling heights below 2.4m where pendant lights would hang too low.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off and allow bulbs to cool. Wipe each crystal ring with a dry microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the chrome base or letting water enter the lampholder sockets.
