Description

A set of four star shaped Christmas baubles in recycled glass, each 8cm across. The stars are organically shaped, with five rounded points that are not identical from one bauble to the next, and each carries a mottled gold finish that reads darker in the hollows and brighter across the raised faces. Every star is capped with an antique style clasp and a ring, and hangs from a velvet ribbon.

At 8cm these are large enough to read from across a room. Four will dress a bare branch, a mantelpiece garland or the outer ends of the lower branches of a tree. The mottled finish takes light unevenly, so a star turns from bright to dark as it moves. The ribbon is long enough to loop straight over a branch.

The glass is recycled. Each star is capped in metal and hung on a velvet ribbon, and the organic shaping means the four in a set differ from one another in outline. The Sardi range also runs to sets of twelve smaller stars, in gold and in clear.
