Description

The Sangamo Q554 is a 3-pin 24-hour electromechanical time switch rated at 20A, designed to automate three separate on/off switching operations per day. The round dial pattern uses removable pins positioned around the 24-hour clock face to set switching times, with each pin triggering either an on or off event as the dial rotates.

Designed for heating control, lighting schedules, ventilation systems and commercial appliance automation where daily routines remain consistent, the Q554 provides reliable mechanical timing without requiring digital programming. The manual override button allows temporary switching outside the programmed schedule without disturbing the pin positions. A day omit dial lets users skip programmed operations on selected days of the week, such as weekends or public holidays.

The unit measures 104mm × 83mm × 134mm and mounts onto a standard electrical back box or DIN rail enclosure depending on installation requirements. The 100-hour battery reserve maintains time and schedule during power cuts, preventing the need to reprogram after mains interruptions. The clear polycarbonate cover protects the dial mechanism while keeping the clock face and pin positions visible for easy schedule verification.

The Q554 supports three on/off operations per 24-hour period. Each operation is triggered by positioning a removable pin on the dial at the desired time. The three-pin configuration suits daily schedules with morning, midday and evening events.

Does the timer maintain its settings during a power cut?

Yes. The 100-hour battery reserve keeps the clock running and the programmed schedule intact during mains interruptions up to just over four days. The battery does not require external charging and recharges automatically when mains power is restored.

What does the day omit dial do?

The day omit dial allows you to skip the programmed operations on specific days of the week without removing the pins from the main 24-hour dial. This is useful for weekends, public holidays or any day when the normal schedule should not run.

Can the switch be overridden manually?

Yes. The manual override button allows temporary on/off switching outside the programmed schedule. The override does not disturb the pin positions or the programmed timing, so the schedule resumes automatically at the next programmed event.
