Description

A single stem 45cm tall that branches near the top into three thin side stems, each carrying one open flower head. The petals are cut from thin metal and turned outward from a shallow cup, with torn, ragged edges rather than cut ones, so no two heads sit at the same angle. Two narrow pointed leaves sit on the main stem where it branches, one upright and one angled down.

The lower half of the stem is bare, so it drops into a narrow-necked bottle or a slim vase and holds its height without support. Stood in a bottle, the three heads reach well above the shoulder of it. The heads splay across about 25cm in one plane against 7cm the other way, so the stem reads full from the front and flat from the side. It can also be worked into a wreath.

The stem is iron under an antique brass finish, which reads warm gold on the flats and darker in the hollows of the petals. It is sold singly. The San range also holds a foliage stem and a leaf stem, each bought separately. No vase is included.
