Description
These are six round stoneware plates, each 15cm across and 2cm tall, sold together as a set of six. That size makes them side plates rather than dinner plates: right for a slice of toast, a croissant, a wedge of cake or a few biscuits beside a cup of tea. The glaze is a soft pink, crossed on the face by a speckled band that catches the light, so a stack on the table looks lively rather than plain. The edge rises gently, enough to keep crumbs on the plate without making it feel like a bowl.
With six in the stack, they suit a family breakfast, an afternoon tea for friends or a dinner party where each guest needs a plate for bread. They work well as dessert plates after the main course, or for small starters and tapas when you would rather pass dishes around the table. At 2cm tall they stack low, so the whole set fits neatly in a kitchen cupboard or on an open shelf, where the pink glaze earns its place between meals. They make a cheerful choice for a first home or a kitchen with a gentle, homely feel.
The plates are made from 100% stoneware, a material fired at high temperature that gives a dense, hard-wearing body. They go in the dishwasher, they can be used in the microwave for warming a pastry, and they can go in the oven, so you can warm the plates before serving. Stoneware holds heat well, which helps a slice of tart stay warm a little longer. For a relaxed table, set one at each place on top of a larger plain dinner plate, letting the pink glaze frame the setting.

Frequently Asked
What size are these plates?
Each plate is 15cm across and 2cm tall, which is a side plate size: right for toast, cake, biscuits or a small starter rather than a full main course.
Can they go in the dishwasher and the microwave?
Yes. They go in the dishwasher and can be used in the microwave, so warming a pastry and clearing up afterwards are both easy.
Can I put them in the oven?
Yes, they can go in the oven, which is useful for warming the plates before serving so food stays warm a little longer on the table.
How many plates do I receive?
You receive six plates, all in the same pink stoneware. The styling props shown are not included, only the six plates.
What are the plates made of?
They are made from 100% stoneware, a dense, hard-wearing material fired at high temperature that holds heat well.
