Is the marble base the same on every piece?

No. The marble is a natural material with grain, veining and tonal variation that differs between pieces. Some bases show darker brown tones, others lighter beige-brown, depending on which section of stone the base was cut from.

Can the glass cylinder be removed for cleaning?

Yes. The glass cylinder lifts off the iron dish for cleaning and candle replacement. The hammered texture on the glass traps soot and wax residue more readily than smooth glass, so periodic removal and cleaning with warm soapy water is recommended.

Is it stable on rugs?

The 23cm circular marble base and 9.26kg total weight provide good stability on bare floors and short-to-medium pile rugs. On thick or shag rugs the base may benefit from sitting on a protective mat to prevent the rug fibres compressing unevenly under the weight.
