Description
The Rut LED wall light is a slim upright bar of light crossed by a short horizontal arm that holds it to the wall, a clean, linear design in matt white. Its structure is iron and aluminium, and it stands 125cm tall and 30cm wide while projecting just 6.5cm from the wall. The light is integrated LED, so there is no bulb to fit or change. It draws 10W and gives 900 lumens at 3000K, a warm white, with a CRI of 90 or more, so colours, timber and skin tones look true under it. A 120° beam angle spreads the light widely rather than in a tight pool.
At 125cm tall, it suits walls with height to fill: a hallway or landing, a stairwell wall, either side of a bed, or beside a sofa in a living room. Its long, narrow line works well in modern rooms and in tight spots where a wider fitting would crowd the space, and the shallow 6.5cm projection keeps it out of the way in a corridor. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. It works from an ordinary on-off switch and is not dimmable, so it is not one for a dimmer.
The iron and aluminium structure is finished in matt white, which sits quietly against pale walls and reads as a crisp line against darker paint. As a mains fitting, it runs on 220-240V and is for a qualified electrician to install. It carries a 5 year guarantee. As a styling note, a matched pair either side of a mirror or a doorway gives a balanced, symmetrical look, while a row of them along a long hallway sets up a steady rhythm of upright lines.
