Description

A pair of tapered dinner candles, each 20.5cm tall and 2cm across at the base, hand poured from a blend of soy and paraffin wax. The colour is a soft sage green and the surface is textured rather than smooth, with faint ridges and marks left by the mould running the length of each candle.

These are tapered, so they seat in a candlestick cut for a taper rather than in a straight sided socket, and at 20.5cm a pair stands clear of whatever else is set out on a table. Two candles come in a set, and they are sold without a holder.

The wax is a blend of soy and paraffin, poured by hand into moulds in small batches in India. Pouring by hand is what gives the surface its texture, so the marks fall differently on every candle. The Rustic dinner candle is also made in white, charcoal, rust, olive green and dark cherry.

Frequently Asked

How tall are the candles?

20.5cm, and 2cm across at the base.

How many come in a set?

Two.

Will they fit my candlestick?

They are tapered, so they need a holder cut for a taper rather than a straight socket.

What is the wax?

A blend of soy and paraffin, poured by hand.

How should they be burned?

Trim the wick to 0.6cm before lighting, which keeps the burn even and holds down soot. Burn for no more than four hours at a time, always within sight, and never leave a lit candle unattended. Do not move it while it is lit or before the wax has set, keep it clear of anything that can catch, and stand it on a heat resistant surface that will catch any drips.
