Description

The Rui is a slim LED reading table lamp in a gold finish, made for putting light where you need it. Its narrow tubular shade, 20cm long, sits on a pivoting joint near the top of a straight upright stem, and it is adjustable, so you can angle the beam down onto a book, a keyboard or a notebook. The lamp stands 36.5cm tall on a flat round base 14cm across. The light comes from an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change: it draws 2.7W and gives 350 lumens of warm white light at 3000K, with a 45° beam and a colour rendering index of 90 or more, which keeps print, fabrics and skin tones looking true.

As a reading light it is at its best on a bedside table, on a desk in a home office or on a side table next to a favourite armchair, where its compact footprint leaves room for a book, a glass and a phone. The adjustable head lets you aim the light away from a sleeping partner or a screen, and the 2m textile cable gives you freedom in where it sits. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. It suits modern interiors and sits comfortably with warm woods, white walls and darker painted rooms alike.

The upright structure is iron and the base is aluminium, both in a gold finish, and the black cable is textile covered.
