Description

Our Rubi table lamp is built around a cone: a matt black conical shade lined in warm gold, with an opal glass globe sitting inside it. The shade is 20.5cm across and is fixed to a slim iron stem that rises behind it to a neat loop at the top, with its open end angled downwards. The whole lamp stands 44cm tall on a flat round base 19cm across and just 0.5cm thick, so it takes up little room on a table. It takes one G9 lamp, held within the opal glass, so you see a soft milky glow rather than a bare lamp when you glance under the shade.

This is a lamp for the places where you sit and read or work: a desk in a study, a bedside table, a sideboard or console in a living room or hallway. The angled cone suits reading and desk work as well as a gentle accent in a corner. Its modern lines sit well in contemporary rooms, and the black and gold pairing works with dark wood, oak, brass and plain painted walls alike. The 2m textile cable gives you some freedom over where it stands. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only.

The structure is iron, finished matt black outside with gold on the inside of the shade, and the globe within is opal glass. It runs on 220-240V and switches simply on and off, so there is no dimmer to match. It carries a 3 year guarantee.
