Description

Our Royal pendant light hangs a single alabaster globe from a slim brass rod, finished in Matt Polished Brass & Gold. The globe is a 10cm sphere of alabaster, a natural stone with soft, cloudy veining running through it, so the light comes through as a gentle glow rather than a hard beam. The fitting is 25.5cm tall, with an 8cm canopy at the ceiling and a 1.5m textile cable. It has one G9 lamp holder and takes a lamp up to 60mm long; the maker recommends a G9 LED.

At 10cm across, the globe is small enough to hang where a larger shade would crowd the space. Hang one beside the bed in place of a table lamp, one in a hallway or on a landing, or a row of them over a dining table. Its modern, simple lines sit happily with plain plaster walls, pale oak and other warm metals, and the veined stone brings a little luxury to a quiet corner. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only: a bedroom, dining room, living room or hallway suits it well.
