Description

The Roxi table lamp pairs a six-sided fabric shade in natural fibre with a round black base, a simple shape that sits easily on any table. The shade is hexagonal, with crisp vertical edges and a woven texture you can see close up, and when the lamp is on, light passes through the fabric as a soft, even glow. It stands 34.5cm tall and 22cm wide, on a base 17cm across, so it is a compact fabric table lamp that fits where a larger lamp would crowd the surface. It has one E27 lamp holder, the standard screw cap, and simple on-off control.

We think it suits a bedside table, a desk in a study or home office, or a side table in a living room, anywhere you want gentle, low light rather than a bright overhead fitting. The natural fibre and clean lines sit comfortably in a modern or Scandinavian room, alongside pale wood and linen. It is rated IP20, which means it is for dry rooms only. The 2m textile cable gives enough reach to set the lamp back from the socket and keep the cable tidy behind furniture. A pair either side of a bed works well, as the narrow base leaves room for a book and a glass of water.

The lamp is built on an iron structure, with the fabric shade over it and a textile cable, and it runs on 220-240V. It carries a 3 year guarantee. The black base gives the pale shade a firm footing to the eye, and the six faces catch the light a little differently from each side, so the lamp looks good from wherever you sit. For styling, warm white light brings out the natural tone of the fibre, and a plain wall behind lets its hexagonal outline stand out.
