Description

Roxi is a modern fabric floor lamp with a hexagonal shade in natural fibre, set on a dark brown round base. It comes in two sizes, 33cm and 45cm, and the 45cm size stands 78cm tall and 45cm across, on a 35cm base. One E27 lamp holder sits inside the shade, and the woven natural fibre turns its light into a soft, even glow across all six sides. Because it rests directly on the floor rather than on a stem, it reads as a soft column of light at low level, more lantern than standard lamp.

Rated IP20, it is for dry rooms indoors. It fits a living room corner, the space beside a sofa or armchair, a bedroom, or a hallway or landing where you want gentle light rather than a bright overhead fitting. The 45cm size has the presence to anchor an empty corner on its own, while the 33cm size suits a smaller room or a tighter spot. Put the two sizes together and they make an easy group of different heights. Its clean hexagonal lines suit modern rooms, and the natural fibre brings texture that sits comfortably in calmer, earthier schemes as well as Japandi and Scandinavian interiors.

The structure is iron, dressed in a fabric shade, with a 2m plastic cable and a 220-240V mains supply. Control is a simple on-off switch, so it is not a dimmable lamp: it gives one steady level of light, and the E27 lamp in it sets how bright that is. It carries a 3 year guarantee. For styling, we like it on a wooden floor beside linen curtains and a woven rug, where the natural fibre picks up the other textures, and its dark base ties in well with darker wood furniture.
