Description

The Round is a ceiling canopy for a cluster of pendants: a flat, round plate 50cm across and 3.9cm tall, with nine outlets for up to nine pendants, each sold separately. It gives no light of its own. Its job is to power the pendants hung from it, and it does that with a 75W driver built into the canopy, which feeds them at 24V DC. Because the driver is built in, there is no separate power supply or driver to buy. We sell it in White, Black, Brushed Champagne, Matt Black, Brushed Bronze and Brushed Brass, so you can match it to your pendants or to the ceiling.

Think of it as the ceiling rose for a grouped arrangement: nine pendants gathered over a long dining table, a cascade down a stairwell, or a cluster filling a tall hallway. Choose up to nine pendants that run at 24V DC to hang from it. The canopy ties them together at one point, so a single neat round plate takes the place of a row of separate fittings. It is an indoor canopy with no IP rating, so it belongs in dry rooms such as dining rooms, living rooms, landings and hallways.

The canopy runs on 230V mains power and is wired in by an electrician; the built-in driver then feeds the pendants at 24V DC. It switches on and off and is not dimmable, so it suits a standard switch rather than a dimmer. Behind the round plate sits an angular back box, and at 3.9cm tall the whole canopy stays close to the ceiling. The brushed finishes carry a fine, soft grain, while White, Black and Matt Black give a plainer look. Our practical advice: settle on the finish first, then choose your pendants to suit it. Our photographs show the white version.

Frequently Asked

Does the Round ceiling canopy give any light of its own?

No. It has no light of its own. It powers up to nine pendants hung from it, each sold separately, feeding them at 24V DC.

Do I need a separate driver or power supply for the pendants?

No. A 75W driver is built into the canopy and feeds the pendants at 24V DC, so the pendants themselves are the only extra pieces you need.

How big is the canopy?

It is 50cm across and 3.9cm tall. It is a slim round plate with nine outlets, wide enough to spread a cluster of nine pendants across the ceiling.

Can the canopy be dimmed?

No. The canopy switches on and off only and is not dimmable, so it suits a standard light switch rather than a dimmer.

Which finishes does the canopy come in?

We sell it in six finishes: White, Black, Brushed Champagne, Matt Black, Brushed Bronze and Brushed Brass, so you can match it to your pendants or your ceiling.

How long will it take to arrive?

It is made to order for you, so it is usually delivered in 4 to 8 weeks.
