Description

Our Round ceiling canopy is a flat, circular plate 39.5cm across and just 3.9cm high, made to carry three pendants from one neat fitting on the ceiling. It gives no light of its own. Instead, it holds up to three pendants, each sold separately, which hang from its three outlets and take their mains supply through it, so a single canopy gives you a cluster of lights where you might otherwise fit one drop. Think of it as a wide ceiling rose for a group of pendants rather than a single one. We offer it in six finishes: White, Black, Brushed Champagne, Matt Black, Brushed Bronze and Brushed Brass.

A three-pendant canopy comes into its own over a dining table, where a cluster of pendants hung together gives the table its own pool of light, and in a living room, hallway or landing that wants more than a single drop. Its round plate sits naturally centred over a round table, and in a stairwell or a room with a high ceiling you can set the three pendants at different lengths where their cables allow. It is for use indoors. Alongside the canopy, the system needs only the pendants themselves and an electrician: the canopy is wired in to the mains, and the pendants draw their supply from it.

The canopy is a slim disc with a shallow rim, with small fixing screws set into the side of the rim, so its face stays clean apart from the three outlets. Choose the finish to match your pendants or your ceiling: Brushed Champagne, Brushed Bronze and Brushed Brass bring a warmer tone, while White, Black and Matt Black keep it quiet. Because it is wired in to the mains, it is for a qualified electrician to install. A practical tip: settle on your three pendants first, then order the canopy in the finish that suits them.
