Description

The Roseline is a linear LED pendant light: a long straight bar of ribbed glass that hangs level from the ceiling on two brown straps. The transparent glass shade is fluted along its length and measures 12cm across, and three gold discs sit evenly along it, matching the gold brass structure and the 14cm wide ceiling canopy. It runs on an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to fit. It draws 25W and gives 1300 lumens of warm white light at 3000K, with a colour rendering index of 85 or above, and its 360 degree beam sends light out all the way round the tube.

Its long, low line is made for lighting a length of surface: over a dining table, along a kitchen island, or above a sideboard or a long desk in a study. Because the light goes out in every direction, it lights the room around it as well as the surface beneath. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. It is an on-off switched fitting rather than a dimmable one, so it runs from an ordinary switch and is not for use with a dimmer. The modern pairing of gold and brown sits well with warm wood, stone worktops, cream cabinetry and brass taps and handles.

The structure is brass in a gold finish, carrying a transparent ribbed glass shade, with a plastic cable and brown straps. The cable is 2m long and the fitting runs on 220 to 240V mains. Mains fittings are for a qualified electrician to install. It carries a 5 year guarantee. We like it centred along the length of the table or island it lights, with brushed brass or bronze fittings nearby so the gold discs have something to echo.
