Description

The Roseline is a linear wall light built around a ribbed glass cylinder: a long straight bar of fluted clear glass, held at each end by a beige strap on a round black base. The bases are brass and resin, and the light comes from an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to fit or change. It gives a warm 2700K glow and comes in two sizes, 36cm and 56cm. The 36cm size measures 40cm wide overall, with a 30cm shade 5cm in diameter, projects 11cm from the wall and draws 5W for 400 lumens. The 56cm size measures 60cm wide overall, with a 50cm shade 5cm in diameter, also projects 11cm and draws 7W for 500 lumens.

Rated IP44, it suits a bathroom as well as a bedroom, hallway or landing. It sits naturally beside a mirror, fixed upright on either side or between a pair of mirrors over a double basin. The 36cm size fits a narrow stretch of wall beside a cloakroom mirror or a bed; the 56cm size gives a longer line of light beside a taller mirror or down a hallway wall. Its clean modern lines suit a pared back bathroom or a calm bedroom, and anyone who prefers a light that reads as a single slim stroke rather than a traditional bracket.

The construction is simple: brass and resin bases finished in black, beige straps and a clear ribbed glass shade. It switches on and off and is not dimmable, so it runs from an ordinary wall switch with no dimmer needed. It works on 220-240V mains, and as a mains fitting it is for a qualified electrician to install. It carries a 5 year guarantee. We like the black and beige with dark taps and a slim black framed mirror, and a matching light on either side of a mirror gives the most balanced look.
